Abu Rafi'
Abu Rafi' was a wealthy Jewish merchant residing in Medina. He caused a lot of disruption and chaos for the Holy Prophet (sa) and the Muslims, to such an extent that his execution was eventually ordered and carried out in accordance with his crimes.

Banu Qurayzah
Banu Qurayzah was one of the 3 Jewish tribes residing in Medina at the time of the Hijra (migration). According to the covenant with the Muslims, they were supposed to defend the other if one was attacked. However, in battle of Ahzaab (the ditch) in 627, they broke this pact and did not assist the Muslims. Hence, due to their treachery, they were judged according to their own holy scripture and executed.

Banu al-Nazir
Banu al-Nazir was one of the 3 Jewish tribes residing in Medina at the time of the Hijra (migration). After the battle of Uhud in 625, Banu Nazir plotted the assassination of the Holy Prophet (sa), thus breaking the covenant that they agreed to. Hence, the Holy Prophet (sa) expelled the Banu Nazir from Medina.

Battle Of Tabuk
The Battle of Tabuk took place in 630 CE (9 AH). The Holy Prophet (sa) led a force of 30,000 Muslims to the area of Tabuk. This expedition is also known as the Expedition of Usra (Difficulty).

Battle of Ahzaab (Ditch/Khandaq)
The battle of Ahzaab, also know as the Battle of Khandaq (Ditch) was fought in 627 CE between the joint Meccan disbelievers & pagan Arab tribes against the Muslims of Medina. The Meccan forces amounted to 10,000 soldiers. They turned back to Mecca in disgrace and defeat after an unsuccessful siege of Medina.

Battle of Badr
The Battle of Badr took place in 624 CE (2 AH) between the Muslims of Medina led by the Holy Prophet (sa) and the disbelievers of Mecca led by Abu Jahl. The Muslims numbered 313 in total, and were up against a force of 1000 well-equipped soldiers. Allah the Almighty granted Muslims a distinctive victory in the battle.

Battle of Hunain
The Battle of Hunain was fought by the Prophet Muhammad (sa) and his companions (ra) against the Bedouin tribe of Hawazin and its subsection the Thaqif, in 630 CE (8 AH), in the Hunain valley, on the route from Mecca to At-Ta'if. The battle ultimately ended in a decisive victory for the Muslims.

Battle of Jisr
The Battle of Jisr took place in 634 CE between the Muslim forces dispatched by Hazrat Umar (ra) during his Caliphate, and the Persian forces of the Sasanid Empire. The result of this battle was a defeat of the Muslim forces.

Battle of Khaibar
The Battle of Khaibar was fought in 628 CE (7 AH) between the Muslims led by the Holy Prophet (sa) and the Jews of Khaibar. The Jews barricaded themselves up in their forts, but the battle eventually ended with the surrender of the Jews, who were conditionally permitted to continue residing in Khaibar.

Battle of Mu'tah
The Battle of Mu'tah took place in 629 CE (8 AH) between the Muslim and the Byzantine forces. The Muslims were heavily outnumbered with only 3,000 troops facing an army of 200,000.

Battle of Siffin
The Battle of Siffin took place in 657 CE (37 AH) between the forces of Hazrat Ali (ra) and Hazrat Mu'awiyah (ra). This battle took place due to the disagreement in the matter of the manner of retribution of Hazrat Uthman's (ra) murderers. The battle resulted in an stalemate arbitration.

Battle of Uhud
The Battle of Uhud took place in 3 AH in Medina between a force of 3,000 Meccan disbelievers and 1,000 Muslims. After the humiliating defeat at the Battle of Badr, the Meccan disbelievers returned for revenge. Although the Muslims suffered great losses in this battle which served as a lesson for future generations on obedience, ultimately the Meccan's retreated back to Mecca.

Battle of Yarmouk
The Battle of Yarmouk was fought between the Muslim and Byzantine forces in either 13 AH or 15 AH. The result of the battle was a complete Muslim victory and the end of Byzantine rule in Syria.

Battle of the Camel
The Battle of the Camel, also known as Jang-e-Jamal took place in 656 CE (36 AH) between the army of Hazrat Ali (ra) and Hazrat Aisha (ra). The misunderstanding between them was solved and proved to be a victory for Hazrat Ali (ra).

Bi'r-e-Ma'unah
In 625 CE (4 AH) the chief of the Bani 'Amir tribe requested the Holy Prophet (sa) to send some Muslims to where the tribe lived, in order to teach them about Islam. The Holy Prophet (sa) sent 70 Huffaz (those who had memorised the entire Qur'an). However, this request proved treacherous and the entire delegation of Muslims was martyred.
