Ibn Abi Naji‘ narrates that the Holy Prophet (sa) appointed Hazrat Mu‘az (ra) as the governor of Yemen, stating to the people of Yemen, “Indeed I have sent to you a governor who is the most knowledgeable of my people and the most well-versed in the matters of faith.”
