In another narration in Siyar al-Sahaba, it states that Hazrat Mu‘az (ra) bin Jabal had two wives who passed away due to the Plague of Amwas and it is also reported that one of his sons, Abdur Rahman, who took part in the Battle of Yarmuk alongside Hazrat Mu‘az (ra) bin Jabal also passed away due to the Plague of Amwas – this was a plague that spread during that time.
