Participation in battles alongside the Holy Prophet (sa) & Martyrdom

He took part in the battles of Badr, Uhud and Khandaq as well as in the treaty of Hudaibiyah. He was martyred in the seventh year of Hijra during the battle of Khaybar. It is narrated that a Jew struck him and severed his head, as a result of which he was martyred.
